A Grade I Area Court in Lugbe, Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has officially dissolved the four-year-old marriage between Shuiba Abdullahi and his wife, Aisha Abdullahi, citing the latter’s “bad character” as the key reason for the dissolution.
In his petition, Shuiba explained that his wife had consistently shown disrespect towards him, which he could no longer tolerate.
He further stated that the marriage had brought him no peace and that he had completely lost interest in it. Despite these grievances, the couple did not have any children during their time together.
After hearing the case, Judge Aliyu Kagarko, who presided over the proceedings, granted the divorce.
The respondent, Aisha, also agreed to the dissolution of the marriage. The judge ordered that Aisha be allowed to remove her personal belongings from the couple’s home within 24 hours of the ruling.
