Chelsea Make History With Conference League Triumph Over Real Betis

Chelsea have etched their name into football history, becoming the first club to win all five major UEFA competitions after a commanding 4-1 victory over Real Betis in the UEFA Europa Conference League final.

Played at the Stadion Wroclaw in Poland, the match added another glittering chapter to the club’s European legacy, completing their collection of the Champions League, Europa League, UEFA Super Cup, and now both the defunct Cup Winners’ Cup and the Conference League.

The night didn’t begin as planned for Enzo Maresca’s side. Chelsea fell behind in the ninth minute when Abde Ezzalzouli finished a slick move initiated by a deft through ball from former Real Madrid star Isco. The remainder of the first half saw the Blues struggle to find rhythm, much to the frustration of their traveling supporters.

But the second half brought a different Chelsea — and a different story. Spearheading the comeback was England international Cole Palmer, whose creativity proved decisive. His pinpoint cross on the 65th minute found Enzo Fernandez, who powered home a header to bring Chelsea level.

Moments later, Palmer delivered once more, floating in a ball that Nicolas Jackson turned into the net to complete the turnaround.

Chelsea’s momentum only grew. In the 83rd minute, substitute Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall surged through midfield before teeing up fellow substitute Jadon Sancho, who curled a sublime finish into the far corner to make it 3-1.

There was still time for a fourth. Moises Caicedo — recently crowned Chelsea Player of the Year — capped off the performance with a composed strike from 20 yards to seal the result in emphatic fashion.

As the final whistle blew, chants of “We’ve won it all!” rang out from the jubilant Chelsea fans, celebrating not just a trophy, but a milestone that sets the club apart in European football.

This latest triumph sees the Conference League trophy added to the Stamford Bridge museum, standing proudly alongside the Champions League (2012, 2021), Europa League (2013, 2019), Super Cup (1998, 2021), and Cup Winners’ Cup (1971, 1998) — completing an unprecedented sweep of UEFA’s top honors.

For Chelsea, it was more than just a win; it was history made.
