The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has appreciated the members of the public for their patience in its ongoing recruitment exercise.
In a press release dated 21 of October, 2025, the board revealed that a computer-based test (CBT) will be conducted for shortlisted applicants across the country.
CDCFIB also advised applicants to visit the board portal (https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng)
next to know the time and location of their examination.
The board has also assured that recruitment into the Services is free and strictly merit-based.
“All applicants are enjoined to take note of the board’s portal address to avoid being scammed”, the board warned.
GISTSMATE MEDIA reported that no fewer than 1,911,141 Nigerians have applied for the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board recruitment exercise as of when the application portal closed on Monday, August 11.
The 2025 CDCFIB recruitment was marred by technical glitches, which led to repeated portal crashes and temporary suspensions.
The recruitment exercise, which was originally scheduled to begin on June 26, was rescheduled to July 14 and later postponed to July 21.
Consequently, the application window expected to close on August 4, 2025, was extended by one week to Monday, August 11.
