The Redeemed Christian Church of God has warned against cyberbullying or passing inappropriate commentary against its general overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, or the church at large.
The church was reacting to the arrest of a TikToker, Olumide Ogunsanwo, also known as ‘SeaKing,’ who was rearrested for allegedly cyberbullying Pastor Adeboye.
In a statement, the Public Relations Unit, Office of the Principal Executive Assistant to the General Overseer, RCCG worldwide, noted that the church does not intend to interfere in the ongoing police investigation.
It said: “Therefore, we trust that the relevant authorities will carry out their investigations professionally and reach a just conclusion based on the law. While Pastor Adeboye maintains a heart of love and reconciliation, due process must be followed.”
GISTSMATE MEDIA earlier reported that Pastor Adeboye ordered the release of TikToker ‘SeaKing’.
According to Adeboye, he was not involved in SeaKing’s arrest but some individuals annoyed by SeaKing’s defamatory remarks took matters into their hands.
Pastor Adeboye stated in a video: “I was told that some people got angry and went to arrest the fellow man, release him, he’s fulfilling prophecy”.
