Pre-thumbprinted ballot papers already marked in favour of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have been intercepted at Aguata High School, Ekwulobia, in Anambra State.
The ballot papers, allegedly prepared for smuggling into the ballot box during the ongoing Anambra South Senatorial by-election, were seized on Saturday.
Donald Amamgbo is the ADC candidate in the ongoing by-election.
The party was recently adopted by former Anambra State governor and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, along with other opposition figures ahead of the 2027 general elections.

GISTSMATE MEDIA earlier reported that in Remo federal constituency by-election, Ogun State, security operatives arrested the state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abayomi Tella, other party officials, and two officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), with large cash in their possession.
The arrested politicians and INEC officials who were seen being questioned in a video clip posted on social media on Saturday were said to have been nabbed at a hotel in Iperu-Remo, Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun State.
Also in Kaduna metropolis, security operatives arrested a suspected vote buyer with cash totalling N25,963,000 barely hours before the conduct of the bye-elections in parts of the state.
The suspect, identified as Shehu Aliyu Patangi, was apprehended around 3:30am on Saturday by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force in collaboration with the Department of State Services (DSS) at a popular hotel along Turunku Road.
