Mohammed Adoke, former attorney-general of the federation and minister of justice, says he has forgiven everyone behind his ordeal in the prosecution of the OPL245 oil block litigation.
Adoke spoke in Abuja on Thursday at the public presentation of his memoir, OPL245: Inside Story of the $1.3 billion Nigerian oil block.
He said the motive behind the book was not to denigrate anyone but to set the records straight.
“After the verdicts of the various courts, I wanted to go back on exile. In fact, I went back. It was Shettima who called and asked me to come back and put a closure to this chapter”
Speaking about the forgiveness, Vice President Kashim Shettima commended Adoke and praised him for standing by his conviction.
“I commend you for forgiving all those that offended you during the time of your ordeal. I admire Adoke for standing by his convictions”, Shettima said.
