Former Governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello, has appeared at the Federal Capital Territory High Court for the hearing of his bail application, alongside those of his co-defendants.
The proceedings took place before Justice Marryanne Anenih at the Maitama court in Abuja.
The EFCC had declared Bello wanted in connection with allegations of laundering.
The former governor, who has been in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) since his arraignment on November 27, was escorted to court by EFCC operatives under heavy security.
Justice Anenih is set to deliver a ruling on the bail applications of the former governor and his co-defendants.
Bello, along with Umar Shuaibu Oricha and Abdulsalam Hudu, was arraigned on a 16-count charge brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on behalf of the Federal Government.
The charges, filed before the FCT High Court under case number FCT/HC/CR/778/24, accuse the former governor of criminal breach of trust involving the sum of N110,446,470,089, among other allegations.
