At least, 15 teenage girls were reportedly taken hostage in a bandit attack on Hayin Kastinawa in Gora Ward, Birnin Magaji LGA, Zamfara State.
The incident was reported in a post on X by security analyst Bakatsine on Sunday.
According to Bakatsine, the attack also involved the rape of married women.
Witnesses say the armed bandits struck the community at night, targeting both women and children.
āLast night, armed bandits reportedly attacked the Hayin Kastinawa community in Gora Ward, Birnin Magaji LGA, Zamfara State.
āWitnesses say married women were raped and multiple teen girls (at least 15) were abducted during the raid. The community is appealing for urgent security responses,ā Bakatsine wrote.
Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the incident as at the time of filing in this report.
