The federal ministry of agriculture and food security has declared a three-day fasting and prayer programme for divine intervention in the countryās agricultural sector.
In an internal circular dated June 11 and seen by TheCable, Adedayo Modupe, the ministryās director of human resource management, said the spiritual exercise is intended to seek Godās guidance for Nigeriaās food security efforts.
Modupe said all members of staff of the are expected to observe the fasting and be part of the prayer sessions.
āThis is to invite all staff of the federal ministry of agriculture and food security to a solemn prayer session for Godās guidance and success in supporting the governmentās efforts to achieve food security,ā the circular reads.
āThe theme of the session is āDivine Intervention for Protection and National Developmentā.
āThe prayers will hold at Conference Hall āBā of the FMAFS headquarters in Area 11, Garki, Abuja, from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. on each scheduled date.ā
According to the circular, staff are expected to come fasting on Monday, June 16, and continue on June 23 and June 30.
