After Burkina Faso Detainement, NAF C-30 Aircraft Lands In Portugal For Maintenance

The Nigerian Air Force on Friday confirmed that its C-130 aircraft (NAF 913) has arrived safely at the maintenance facility of OGMA in Lisbon, Portugal, after Burkina Faso released Nigerian soldiers who were detained after their aircraft made a forced landing in the Sahelian country earlier this month.

This was contained in a statement made available to defence correspondents in Abuja by the Spokesperson of the Service, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame.

According to the statement, “The ferry flight was successfully completed, transiting through Banjul and Casablanca in line with the updated flight plan and established aviation safety procedures.”

It explained that the aircraft and crew arrived without incident, marking the final phase of the movement for the scheduled depot maintenance.
