The Management of Adekunle Ajasin University (AAUA) on Tuesday received the National Consultation Team of the KILOSHELE 2026 Movement during a strategic engagement with key NAUS stakeholders of the institution.
During the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor, Olugbenga Ige, who was represented by the Dean of Students’ Affairs, Prof Olaleye, affirmed and endorsed the candidacy of Mr. Kiloshele for the position of National President of the National Association of University Students (NAUS).
In his remarks, the Dean of Students’ Affairs commended the leadership qualities of Comrade Kiloshele and assured him of the university community’s goodwill and support both during and after the election.
Speaking during the gathering, ComradeKdivine, the Chairman AAUA NANS Stakeholders, a former AAUA Students’ Union Government (SUG) President and now a lecturer in the university, expressed strong confidence in Kiloshele’s candidacy. He assured the team of the unwavering support of AAUA NANS/NAUS stakeholders. He described Kiloshele as a credible and competent student leader who has consistently demonstrated dedication to service, advocacy, and constructive engagement with authorities on issues affecting students. According to him, Kiloshele’s leadership experience and track record position him well to drive meaningful reforms and strengthen representation for Nigerian university students under NAUS.
Also speaking, former AAUASU Presidents Comrade Ikuogbebe Segun and Comrade Ijanusi Olawale reiterated the importance of responsible student leadership in fostering peace, stability, and constructive dialogue within the Nigerian university system. They noted that supporting capable leaders aligns with the broader goal of strengthening student participation in governance and policy discussions.
In his response, Kiloshele expressed profound gratitude to the management and stakeholders of AAUA for the confidence reposed in him. He reaffirmed his commitment to serving Nigerian students with integrity, transparency, and a strong sense of responsibility if elected as the next NAUS National President.
The National Association of University Students (NAUS) remains one of the foremost umbrella bodies representing university students across Nigeria, advocating policies and initiatives that promote quality education and student welfare nationwide.
Among the stakeholders present at the meeting were the current AAUA SUG President, Salami Akeem, Comr. Ebola, and several other key stakeholders within the AAUA community.
