Ogun Freelance Journalist, TMC, Regains Freedom After 53 Days In Prison

A freelance journalist and a human rights activist, Oshibanjo Oluwatosin popularly known as TMC News has been released from Ijebu-Ode correctional centre.

TMC was detained by the Nigeria Police Force in Ogun state after he was alleged of kidnapping self, and spreading false information on October 13, 2024.

He was then charged and remanded in Ijebu-Ode correctional centre.

TMC remained in prison for over 53 days due to stringent bail conditions, but regained freedom after meeting bail conditions on Monday 23rd of December 2024.

In a short live brief TMC did after his release on his Facebook Page, he stated clearly the accusations were untrue.

He furthered that the case is now in Court.

Recall that TMC was reportedly abducted by some unidentified gunmen in his Ijebu home in the Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area of Ogun State.

TMC mother, Tokunbo Bakre, also disclosed that the journalist was found unconscious by some motorcyclists in the Ijebu-Ode area of the state.
