Asefon Visits Kano, Jigawa; Applauds Gov Namadi Over Danmodi Student Care Initiative

The Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Students Engagement, Hon. Comrade Asefon Sunday Dayo has applauded Jigawa state Governor, Umar Danladi for his students’ friendly initiatives in the state.

He thumbed the Governor during his recent 5-day official visit to Kano and Jigawa states.

Giving details of the visit, Asefon told our correspondent “On Thursday, I attended a program organized by the Ganduje Foundation and met with students and student leaders.

“The next day, I visited the Emir of Dutse and the student community to Dissect the FG educational programs in the state, and I was led by SSA to the Governor on student matters to visit some of the Mr Governor’s projects in the education sector.

“On Saturday, I attended the 38th inauguration of new executives of NANS Zone A North West. After the inauguration, I led selected student leaders to meet with His Excellency Governor Umar Namadi Danmodi to appreciate his achievements within 18 months in office.

“Governor Danmodi has achieved impressive milestones, including employing over 9,000 youths, relocating 180 students from Sudan to Near East University Cyprus, and sending 50 students to China for mechanized farming and tractor repair training. He has also implemented free education for all female indigents from primary to higher institutions and created a board for out-of-school children to have both Islamic and Western Education. Free JAMB form, and a 100% increment in local and foreign scholarships.

“The Governor has invested so much in technical and vocational education, establishing vocational schools. His office has also launched the “DANMODI STUDENT CARE” initiative, providing medical outreach and palliatives to Nigerian students.

“I commended Governor Umar for believing in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which has positively impacted the student community in Jigawa.

“The Governor responded by commending President Tinubu’s policies, which align with his administration’s 12-point agenda. He emphasized the importance of investing in education, citing it as the best legacy a government can give.”
