Coalition Of Northern Youth Groups Urges President Tinubu To Appoint Halima Adenike

The Coalition of Northern Youth Groups has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to nominate Dr. Halima Adenike Tejuosho for a position in the Federal Executive Council as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

This appeal follows the recent appointments of heads for seven agencies under the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation by the President.

In a statement issued by the coalition’s convener, Ambassador Umar Gazali, on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, the group highlighted Dr. Adenike’s dedication to engaging youth groups and her efforts to discourage participation in the protests scheduled from August 1st to 10th.

“We have witnessed Dr. Adenike traveling across the country, educating and inspiring young people about President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to transform Nigeria’s economy into a prosperous one. Many youths responded positively to her advocacy and chose to forgo the protests,” Gazali remarked.

The coalition firmly believes that if Dr. Adenike is appointed as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, she will leverage her extensive experience as a humanitarian and advocate for the underprivileged to effectively fulfill her responsibilities.

The group appeals to the President to consider Dr. Adenike for the ministry, emphasizing her exceptional integrity and unmatched track record.
