Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has rejected her inclusion in the All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos State Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 elections.
Abraham clarified her position in an Instagram post on Thursday, saying she was not a member of any campaign council and had decided to stay away from politics.
She wrote, “I’m not a member of any campaign council. I have said it recently, I am staying out of politics. Please disregard the supposed inclusion of my name in any campaign committee.”
Her statement came after her name appeared in the list of members of the APC Lagos State Campaign Council’s Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate.
The list, released on Thursday by the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre, includes several prominent figures from Nollywood and the Nigerian music industry.
Among those named alongside Abraham are Eniola Badmus, Bimbo Akintola, veteran actor Jide Kosoko, and Fuji musicians Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, Abass Akande Obesere and Adewale Ayuba.

👉 JOIN WHATSAPP CHANNELThe directorate is headed by Toke Benson-Awoyinka as Director, with Kosoko serving as Co-Director and Badmus as Deputy Director. Akeem Alimi, popularly known as Ajala Jalingo, was named Secretary, while Dare Olateju was appointed Assistant Secretary.
Other entertainment personalities listed include veteran actor Oga Bello (Adebayo Salami), Saheed Balogun, Bukky Wright, Fathia Balogun, Yinka Quadri and Tayo Sobola from the Yoruba movie industry.
The Fuji music sector is also represented by Pasuma, Obesere, Ayuba, Sulaimon Alao Adekunle (Malaika), Akorede Babatunde Okunola (Osupa) and Temitope Adekunle (Small Doctor).
The Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate is one of several units within the broader Lagos APC Campaign Council, which is chaired by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, with Kadri Obafemi Hamzat as Deputy Chairman.
The council is scheduled to be inaugurated on Friday, September 18, at the APC Secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja.
