Katsina Football Academy on Thursday presented its IberCup Astoria 2026 trophy and medals to Governor Dikko Umaru Radda in Katsina.
Nasir Gide, the Academy Media Officer, made this known in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.
The trophy and medals were won by seven academy players who participated in the IberCup tournament in Portugal.
The presentation was made by officials of the academy, accompanied by international football scouts and the State Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development.
The delegation included FIFA-licensed agent and Chief Scout of All Conti Sports Management, Aljosa Alibegovic, and Head of MVP Sports Management Agency, Lagos, Mr Datti Umar Yusuf.
Gide said the presentation was part of the academy’s commitment to appreciating Radda’s support and contributions towards sports development in the state.

The scouts are currently in Katsina to identify talented players for football trials and possible opportunities in Europe.
The delegation also visited the office of the Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Engr. Surajo Yazeed Abukur, where they presented him with the trophy.
The visit underscored ongoing efforts to promote grassroots football development and create international opportunities for young football talents in Katsina State.
