FLASH: Longest Serving African President, Paul Biya Reportedly Dies

President Paul Biya, who is the longest serving African President has “reportedly” died.

According to news filtering from Cameroon, Diya has passed away.

Biya, born on 13 February 1933 is a Cameroonian politician who has served as the second president of Cameroon since 6 November 1982, having previously been the prime minister of Cameroon from 1975 to 1982.

He is the second longest ruling president in Africa, the longest consecutively serving current non-royal national leader in the world and the oldest head of state in the world.

Mr Biya ruled the country for over 42 years.

As at the time of filling this report, the state is yet to confirm his demise.
