Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Hon. Wanzam Mohammad Zaki, the member representing Sakwa Constituency in the Bauchi State House of Assembly, who died after a brief illness.
In a statement issued by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, the late lawmaker was described as a dedicated public servant, humble leader, and committed representative who served his constituents with distinction.
The statement noted that Hon. Wanzam distinguished himself through diligence, patriotism, and commitment to duty during his time in the State Assembly, particularly as Chairman of the House Committee on Budget and Appropriation.
According to the statement, his death is a great loss to his family, the people of Sakwa Constituency, the Bauchi State House of Assembly, and the state at large.
It stated that the deceased earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and citizens through his humility, integrity, and dedication to public service.
Governor Bala Mohammed urged the people of Bauchi State to take solace in the legacy of selfless service and commitment left behind by the late legislator.
He also extended his condolences to the family of the deceased, the people of Sakwa Constituency, the Katagum Emirate Council, members of the State House of Assembly, and all those affected by the loss.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family the strength to bear the loss.
GISTSMATE MEDIA gathered that the funeral prayer for the late Hon. Wanzam Mohammad Zaki is scheduled to hold today at the Gwallaga Juma’at Mosque in Bauchi by 1:00 p.m.
