VIDEO: ‘We Saw Chairman Announce Votes That Were Not Cast’ — Aggrieved NDC Rep Aspirants Protest

Aggrieved House of Representatives aspirants under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have threatened legal action following allegations of heavy manipulation during the party’s primary elections.

In a viral video protest, a frustrated contestant openly declared, “We saw the chairman announce votes that were not cast,” highlighting a severe breakdown in internal transparency and electoral integrity.

Contestants claim that party leadership fabricated and read out fictitious vote tallies that did not reflect the reality of the ballots cast at the venue.

The aggrieved aspirants have stated they will head to court to seek legal redress if the party’s leadership fails to address the manipulation.

This internal eruption comes amidst heightened friction within the NDC as it fields candidates for the upcoming 2027 general elections.

The party recently faced additional drama, including tearing party cards in the Kabusa ward of AMAC, FCT, and warnings about alleged “spies” planted within its structures to disrupt the primary processes.

In another development, nollywood actor Emeka Ike and musician Trageel caused a scene in Abuja on Friday after storming the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Area 10 to challenge the conduct and integrity of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) primary elections.

The actor, who is vying for the ticket to represent the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives under the NDC, arrived at the commission’s office alongside Trageel, forcefully demanding explanations regarding the suspicious presence of individuals they identified as NDC party officials on the premises.

In a video capturing the heated confrontation, an agitated Trageel alleged that they spotted a vehicle conveying party officials hidden away in a corner of the facility.

It should be noted that the NDC fixed its primaries for yesterday.

“We just came to INEC at Area 10 and we saw a vehicle carrying some NDC officials in the corner. INEC, we have never trusted you and these people were found at your premises. What were NDC officials doing at your premises? I have evidence of those people, sue me to court. You’re a fool,” Trageel stated in the video.

However, the situation was made better when an INEC official countered the duo’s narrative, explaining that no partisan was taking place at the location.

The official clarified that the premises was simply hosting the commission’s routine Continuous Voters Revalidation (CVR) exercise, which is open to all members of the public, and advised the politicians that they should have made inquiries before reacting prematurely.
