CNYGG Celebrates Tinubu’s 3 Years In Office, Commends Digital Innovation Policies, EDON Project Impacts

The leadership and entire members of Concern Nigerian Youths for Good Governance (CNYGG) heartily congratulate His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on the occasion of his Three Years Anniversary in office as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

As a youth-driven organization committed to good governance, innovation, educational advancement, and national development, we acknowledge the numerous reforms and strategic policies introduced by the Tinubu-led administration aimed at repositioning Nigeria for sustainable growth and digital transformation under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Of particular significance to Nigerian youths and students is the administration’s commitment to digital innovation and technological advancement within the education sector. The Digital Innovation Policy of the Federal Government has continued to create opportunities for learning, entrepreneurship, research, and technological inclusion among Nigerian students across the country.

CNYGG specially appreciates the revolutionary impact of the EDON Project across tertiary institutions in Nigeria, especially within the Colleges of Education. The project has remarkably contributed to improving digital learning systems, enhancing access to technology-driven education, promoting ICT compliance, and exposing students to modern digital tools necessary for global competitiveness.

Today, many students in Colleges of Education who previously had limited access to digital infrastructure are now benefiting from improved innovation hubs, digital literacy initiatives, and technology-oriented academic support systems. This laudable intervention has further strengthened the capacity of future educators and positioned them to effectively function in the rapidly evolving digital world.

We also specially acknowledge and appreciate Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), for identifying and bringing on board the brain behind the EDON Project, Dr. Idonuagbe Akogun, whose expertise, vision, and commitment to digital transformation have continued to positively impact Nigeria’s educational sector.

CNYGG further urges Dr. Idonuagbe Akogun to continue bringing his wealth of experience, innovation, and technical expertise to support and promote the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, an agenda whose positive impacts Nigerians, particularly youths and students, are increasingly beginning to enjoy.

We commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for recognizing the importance of technology and digital empowerment as critical pillars for national development and youth advancement. We also appreciate all relevant ministries, agencies, and stakeholders whose collaborative efforts have ensured the success and growing acceptance of the EDON Project in tertiary institutions nationwide.

While celebrating these achievements, CNYGG passionately appeals to the Federal Government to sustain and expand such digital innovation initiatives across all tertiary institutions in Nigeria, including universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education. We strongly believe that increased investment in digital infrastructure, smart classrooms, innovation centers, internet accessibility, and technology-driven education will further bridge educational gaps and prepare Nigerian students for the demands of the 21st-century global economy.

Furthermore, we encourage the government to continue prioritizing youth-focused policies capable of creating opportunities in digital entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, software development, e-learning, and technological research.

As President Bola Ahmed Tinubu marks three years in office, we pray for greater wisdom, strength, and success for his administration in the collective effort to build a digitally empowered, economically stable, and globally competitive Nigeria.
