Nigeria LNG Limited has announced a Post-Primary Scholarship Scheme for high-performing Basic Six pupils in public primary schools in Rivers State.
NLNG is a joint venture owned by the Federal Government, through Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Shell Gas, TotalEnergies , and Eni International.
In a notice obtained from its website on Tuesday, the company said the scheme is part of its social investment in education and is designed to provide access to quality secondary education, particularly for indigene pupils in its host communities.

According to the notice, eligible applicants must be Basic Six pupils in public primary schools in Rivers State and must be indigenes of NLNG host communities.
“Only for indigene pupils of NLNG host communities. Age must not be below 10 years and not exceed 12 years.
“Applicants must not be beneficiaries of other awards or related to NLNG staff,” it added.
The company outlined the application process, directing candidates to apply online via its scholarship portal.
“Visit https://nlngscholarships.smapply.io/prog/ppss, and click “Register,” to create an account.
“Enter your registration details and verify your email using the link sent to your inbox.
“Log into your account, click “View Programs”, locate the “Post Primary Scholarship Scheme”, and click the “More” button.
“Complete the application process by filling out all required sections and uploading the following documents in clear, scanned PDF format,” NLNG noted.
Application commenced on April 20 and closes on May 11, 2026, at 11:59pm.
The required documents include first, second, and third-term results for Basic 4, 5, and 6; a birth certificate issued by the National Population Commission; an attestation letter signed by the head teacher; an indigene confirmation letter signed by a Community Development Committee chairman or community chief; a Local Government Area identification letter; and a recent passport photograph.
NLNG also stated that applicants must secure provisional admission into one of its partner secondary schools, adding that the list of such schools would be published in newspapers and on its social media platforms.
The notice added that the selection test would be paper-based and conducted at designated centres in Port Harcourt and Bonny.
It encouraged Persons Living with Disabilities to apply, noting that reasonable adjustments would be provided where necessary.
