Brigadier General Mohammad Karami, the Commander of the IRGC Ground Forces, was reportedly killed in Israeli airstrikes in Isfahan.
These reports emerged just hours after he allegedly issued a public threat to “hunt down and kill” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Brigadier General Mohammad Karami, was appointed as the Commander of the IRGC Ground Forces in June 2025.
According to reports, the strike that killed Karami reportedly took place in Isfahan, Iran.
The reported elimination occurred roughly two hours after Karami’s public vow against Netanyahu.
While these reports have been widely circulated by various social media and news aggregators, official confirmation from either the Iranian government or the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) is still pending as of this evening.
This reported strike follows a period of intense military escalation between Israel and Iran that began around February 28, 2026.
Earlier reports today also suggested the elimination of other high-ranking officials, including Mohammad Kazemi, the IRGC’s intelligence chief, and his deputy Hassan Mohaqeq, in separate strikes.
Parallel reports mention precision strikes on critical Iranian infrastructure, such as a major telecommunications hub in Hamedan.
