War Spreading Across the Gulf
The attacks happened as fighting continues between Iran and the United States and Israel.
Iran carried out retaliatory strikes on US military bases across the Gulf region, which drew several Gulf countries into the conflict.
So far, at least 13 American soldiers have been killed in the war.
Iran has also fired missiles and drones at Israel, killing at least 14 people and injuring hundreds.
Inside Iran, the conflict has caused heavy casualties, with more than 1,400 people killed and thousands injured.
Damage in Gulf Countries
The war has now lasted for about three weeks, and Gulf countries are increasingly affected.
Iranian strikes have hit ports, hotels, oil facilities and apartment buildings in the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
According to the UAE Ministry of Defence, the country’s air defence systems have intercepted:
294 ballistic missiles
15 cruise missiles
1,600 drones (UAVs)
On 14 March, UAE air defence forces intercepted 9 ballistic missiles and 33 drones launched from Iran.
The UAE described the attacks as “blatant Iranian aggression.”
The government said it remains ready to defend the country and protect its security and stability from further attacks.
