The City Boys Movement, a pro President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s community-driven platform has disowned a purported female version of the group labelled City Girls Movement.
The group which has Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu as its grand patron said this in a statement by Jerry Durojaiye, its National Director of Information on Tuesday.
The group said it has no affiliation with the purported City Girls Movement formed by a group of women in Abuja.
Durojaiye said in the statement that the Movement has a recognized women’s wing.
He added that all members and activities of the movement also take place under the umbrella of the group.
Durojaye, in the statement said, “It has been brought to our attention that a group of women in Abuja are referring to themselves as the City Girls Movement.
“The general public should note that the City Boy Movement was established in line with the popular nickname of our Grand Patron, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“We wish to clearly state that the City Boy Movement has no affiliation whatsoever with this group. Our movement already has a recognized women’s wing, and all members and activities operate under the same umbrella of the City Boy Movement.
“Members of the public are therefore advised to disregard any activities or claims by the said group linking themselves to the City Boy Movement.”
