Iranian Drones Hit US Embassy In Saudi Arabia As Conflict Escalates

Iranian drones struck the United States embassy in Saudi Arabia’s capital on Tuesday, marking a dangerous expansion of the fast-escalating Middle East conflict.

Saudi authorities said eight drones were intercepted across two cities, including Riyadh.

However, two penetrated air defences and hit the US diplomatic compound, causing a fire and visible structural damage. Security forces swiftly sealed off the diplomatic quarter, blocking major roads and tightening access.

The attack comes days after US and Israeli strikes reportedly killed Iran’s supreme leader, pushing the region into open confrontation. Since then, Tehran has targeted military, industrial and diplomatic sites across the Gulf.

Trump warned that military operations could continue for weeks and declined to rule out deploying ground troops if deemed necessary.

Explosions were also reported overnight in Tehran, while oil facilities in parts of the Gulf have come under pressure.

Satellite imagery showed damage to infrastructure linked to Saudi Aramco, raising fresh concerns about global energy supply. Brent crude prices climbed as markets reacted to the instability.

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, dismissed US claims of an ā€œimminent threat,ā€ accusing Washington of choosing war in support of Israel.

Meanwhile, casualties continue to mount. US Central Command confirmed that six American service members have been killed so far.

Iranian media reports hundreds of casualties inside the country, though independent verification remains limited.
