In a dedicated effort to mobilize and sensitize the youths of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Osun West Senatorial District ahead of the August 8, 2026 gubernatorial election, the APC Osun West Senatorial Youth Leader, Hon. Imran Majeed Adekunle (Osama Okoarugbo), and his entourage embarked on a series of youth sensitization meetings from January 20 to 22, 2026.
The tour commenced in Isokan Local Government and extended to Irewole, Ejigbo, Egbedore, Ayedire, and Ola-Oluwa Local Governments, marking a comprehensive initiative to inaugurate door-to-door campaign committees, foster unity among party members, and rally support for the party’s flagbearer, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO).
The journey began earlier on January 20, 2026, in Isokan Local Government, which served as the inaugural host for the district’s Youth Sensitization Meeting. Upon arrival, the Youth Leader was graciously received at the Council Secretariat by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Q/S Goke Odetunde, who commended the innovative sensitization program. Present were the Isokan APC Local Chairman, Hon. Osunlakin Bashir, and various stakeholders.

The team proceeded to the main venue, where they were welcomed by the Isokan LG Youth Leader, Com. Teslim Apena, and the Isokan LCDA Youth Leader, Com. Gbadebo Adejobi, alongside ward youth leaders and party youths.
The meeting opened with prayers for Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji in both Islamic and Christian traditions, followed by introductions and a welcome address. In his speech, Hon. Imran Majeed Adekunle thanked the attendees for their warm reception, inaugurated the house-to-house campaign committee, emphasized rigorous campaigning to reclaim Osun State, and highlighted the candidate’s strong track record. He also joined in welcoming defectors from the PDP/Accord party. Questions were addressed, leading to closing remarks and a vote of thanks.

Later that afternoon on January 20, 2026, the team continued to Irewole Local Government. Received by the Local APC Youth Leader, Com. Olubowale Olushola, and ward youth leaders, the meeting commenced with a Christian prayer for Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji. Introductions and short addresses followed, with the local youth leader expressing gratitude. Hon. Imran Majeed Adekunle congratulated stakeholders on the candidate’s primary victory, inaugurated the door-to-door campaign committee, urged diligence given Irewole’s significance as the candidate’s home base, and offered a prayer for the late Hon. Remi Abass. Stakeholders, including Hon. Asifat Akinola Omotuntun and others, delivered goodwill messages.
The session concluded after questions were answered, with a closing prayer.

On the morning of January 21, 2026, the tour reached Ejigbo Local Government. The team was first received at the council by Executive Chairman Hon. Gbolahan Ayegbayo and other leaders, then proceeded to the venue where the Ejigbo LG Youth Leader, Com. Arch. Mutiu Olaide Ganiyu, and ward youth leaders welcomed them.
Proceedings started with a prayer for the candidate, introductions, and a welcome address appreciating various groups. Short addresses were given by notable figures. The Senatorial Youth Leader praised local cooperation, inaugurated the door-to-door campaign committee, and charged them for electoral success. The meeting wrapped up productively.
Midday on January 21, 2026, brought the delegation to Egbedore Local Government. Welcomed at the secretariat by Executive Chairman Hon. Issa Akinwale and others, they moved to the venue received by youth leaders Com. Oyebamiji Abiodun and Com. Abidoye Adeshina.

The event opened with a prayer for Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, introductions, and a welcome address. Hon. Imran Majeed Adekunle expressed appreciation, referenced the candidate’s nomination, inaugurated the committee, and stressed grassroots efforts. Guidelines were provided, questions fielded, and the meeting closed with remarks.
The following day, January 22, 2026, started in Ayedire Local Government. The Youth Leader was received at the council by Executive Chairman Hon. Adejare Omotayo Adigun, who praised the initiative. At the venue, welcomed by Ayedire LG Youth Leader Engr. Hon. Ajani Kasumu and others, the meeting began with prayers, introductions, and a welcome address pledging loyalty. Brief addresses focused on e-registration and voter cards. Hon. Imran Majeed Adekunle thanked stakeholders, inaugurated the committee, assured resource support, and encouraged dedication. Questions were entertained before closing.
Finally, in the afternoon of January 22, 2026, the team visited Ola-Oluwa Local Government. First stopping at the council to meet Executive Chairman Hon. Tunde Olaleye, who pledged support, they proceeded to the venue amid praise songs from youths led by Ola-Oluwa LG Youth Leader Hon. Oladeji Jamiu. Prayers, introductions, and a welcome address followed.
The Senatorial Youth Leader appreciated the turnout, inaugurated the committee with guidelines, urged e-registration and voter participation, and heard short addresses. Questions were answered, concluding with remarks.
Throughout the tour, the APC Osun West Senatorial Youth Leader was accompanied by a committed entourage from different LGs. These meetings underscored the youths’ pivotal role in securing victory for Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji and reclaiming Osun State for the APC.
The meeting was expected to continue next week with four more local governments to cover the entire senatorial district
