The Delta State Police command has arrested a 24-year-old lady, identified as Jessica Anthony, who attempted to rob her boyfriend of his gold jewelry.
SP Bright Edafe, the spokesperson of the command revealed on his X handle that, that the suspect contacted armed robbers to rob her boyfriend.
Jessica explained that she needed the money to pay her sister’s medical bills, adding that she was targeting his gold jewelry to resell.
”I needed money for my sister’s hospital bills of N7 million. I wanted them to steal his gold,” she stated
Edafe explained that the boyfriend in question became aware of her plans but played along and eventually called the Police on her.
”The law does not have space for emotions. Very soon you will appear before the court,” he stated.
