Okanlomo Chieftaincy: Oyo TMF Congratulates Seyi Tinubu, Hails Alaafin

The Tinubu Media Force, Oyo state chapter has congratulated the grand patron of the movement, Barrister Seyi Tinubu on his installation as Okanlomo of Yorubaland by Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Owoade.

In the felicitation message captured by our correspondent, Hon. Adeyemo Abdullateef Alao, the Coordinator of TMF in Oyo state said the installation is well-deserved, and rightly placed on a bright shining star.

Adeyemo said, “the members of Tinubu Media Force in Oyo state celebrate with the Grand Patron of this movement, Barrister Seyi Tinubu on his installation as the Okanlomo of Yorubaland by His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akeem Owoade, the Alaafin of Oyo land.

“Oyo TMF immeasurably appreciates Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Owoade for his insightfulness to confer such historical title on Barrister Seyi Tinubu.

“This new dispensation is not flattery, but a complimentary of Barrister Seyi’s vibrancy, youthfulness and relevance in Yorubaland and Nigeria at large.

“Placing the weight of Okanlomo on our grand patron is a well-deserved, rightly placed on a bright shining star, the face of youth in Lagos, southwest and Nigeria.”

GISTSMATE MEDIA reports that Oyo town was agog over installation of Seyi Tinubu and Senator Abdulaziz Yari As Okanlomo and Obaloyin of Yorubaland.

Mr Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, is an entrepreneur and business leader, born on October 13, 1985.

He earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Master of Laws (LLM) in Corporate and Commercial Law from the University of Buckingham, United Kingdom. He was subsequently called to the Nigerian Bar in 2013.

Among the early dignitaries at the event are former Ogun Governor Gbenga Daniel and Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Others include members of the House of Representatives, led by Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu; members of the Federal Executive Council; and traditional rulers from Nigeria and the Republic of Benin.

The Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu; the Statistician-General of the Federation, Adeyemo Adeniran; the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Olawale Edun; and Senator Teslim Folarin.

Oyo, a pre-colonial kingdom in present-day Nigeria, was founded about a thousand years ago by Oranmiyan of the Yoruba people of West Africa.

It quickly grew to be one of the most powerful states in the Yoruba-speaking region.
