Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk has reached an unprecedented financial milestone, becoming the first person ever with a net worth exceeding 600 billion dollars.
Forbes estimates Musk’s wealth at 677 billion dollars as of Monday, driven largely by the soaring valuations of SpaceX and Tesla.
According to Forbes, a recent SpaceX tender offer valued the company at 800 billion dollars, placing Musk’s 42 percent stake at about 336 billion dollars. In addition, his 12 percent holding in Tesla is now worth an estimated 197 billion dollars, following a sharp rise in the company’s share price to nearly 478 dollars.
Musk’s ascent has been rapid. He crossed the 100 billion dollar mark in 2020, 200 billion dollars in 2021, 400 billion dollars in December 2024, and 500 billion dollars in October 2025.
His fortune now dwarfs that of other global tech leaders, including Google co founder Larry Page, whose net worth is estimated at 252 billion dollars.
Musk has previously said he intends to deploy much of his wealth toward projects aimed at advancing humanity, including space exploration and Mars colonization.
SpaceX is reportedly targeting an initial public offering in 2026, while Tesla continues to roll out incentives that could further boost Musk’s holdings.
