Popular socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has issued a fiery warning to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the continued detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu (MNK), insisting it will destroy the President’s 2027 re-election chances in the South-East.
In a lengthy Instagram post, he declared: “President @officialasiwajubat, as long as MNK remains in jail, you cannot and will never get up to 10,000 votes in South-East come 2027. I will not lie to you Papa. As a friend of your government, I have no reason to whitewash you.”
He described MNK as the true power base of the region, saying: “MNK is the Supreme Leader of South-East. His detention has caused us so much setback and I’m surprised that all your useless ministers from South-East can’t even tell you the truth because they are all cowards.”
Cubana lamented that the ministers have no influence whatsoever: “None of them has capacity and can do anything to make the people love and respect you.”
He did not spare the governors either, warning that they too are failing their people: “As for governors, they will all disappoint you because what will they tell us? Absolutely nothing.” He stressed that the political atmosphere in the region is already lost without MNK’s release.
According to him, only one move can save the President’s standing: “Only MNK release can save you.”
Cubana Chief Priest also referenced a meeting with Seyi Tinubu at Delborough Hotel, accusing many of those around the President’s son of deceit. “All those people on that table with you at Delbourogh Hotel the other day are just bags of deceit, including me. They can’t do anything for you. They can’t even go to their hometowns because of MNK detention, so how can they help you?”
He insisted he has no personal interest to protect: “They only want lands from you to develop and sell. You know me, I don’t need anything from you. Villa na hotel, na few more days your check-out time go reach.”
Cubana praised Abia State governor Alex Otti as the only genuine political force in the region, saying: “Look out for Gov. Alex Otti. He can convince people genuinely.” He blasted the President for sending a minister he called “incompetent” to attend Otti’s project commissioning: “Asiwaju sent the incompetent minister, a failure and betrayal to South-East, to represent him.”
He criticized the Deputy Speaker as well: “To worsen it, the weak Deputy Speaker won’t stop attacking our own fav Gov Otti.”
Cubana’s message to Imo State governor Hope Uzodinma was equally blunt: “My father @he_hopeuzodimma, you have done well, but you will be a complete loser if you don’t get MNK out. Your legacies will be swept under the carpet if you don’t get it right.”
He ended with a final warning to the President: “Appeal this judgement and get it right, or get ready to check out of the Villa come 2027. South-East belongs to MNK. These are the words of the gods, play with it at your own risk.”
