False Alarm: No Abduction At Nasarawa Secondary School – Police

Reports claiming that students were abducted from St. Peters’ Foundation Secondary School in Rukubi, Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, have been officially debunked.

The Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, Ramhel Nansel, confirmed that a voice call was facilitated on Friday, November 21, between the school proprietor, Peters Ezegwoya, and the authorities to clarify the situation.

The Nasarawa State Police Command further issued a statement to set the record straight:

“The Nasarawa State Police Command’s attention has been drawn to a report circulating on social media and some news outlets alleging that kidnappers invaded St. Peter’s Academy, Rukubi, and abducted two pupils.

“The Command wishes to state unequivocally that the report is false and does not reflect the true state of affairs.”

Authorities have urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information, emphasizing that such rumors can cause unnecessary panic and distress.
