Nigerian Afrobeats star, Adeleke David popularly known as Davido has met with French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss culture and creating a better world through global collaboration.
The singer announced the meeting on Thursday via his X (formerly Twitter) page, expressing appreciation for the opportunity.
“It was an honor meeting @EmmanuelMacron and sharing our visions for a better world,” he wrote.
Photos from the meeting show Davido alongside President Macron, joined by celebrity mogul Cubana Chief Priest and his manager.
The high-profile encounter adds to Davido’s growing list of international engagements, further cementing his influence beyond music.
GISTSMATE MEDIA earlier reported that the Osun State Government appointed Davido as chairman of the Osun Sports Trust Fund.
The government said the move was aimed at raising funds to transform the state sports sector.
It also reaffirmed its commitment to completing the ongoing renovation and rehabilitation of the Osogbo Township Stadium, assuring that the upgraded facility will meet Olympic standards upon completion.
