GISTSMATE MEDIA reports that veteran Nigerian actor, Tom Njemanze has passed away after a prolonged battle with prostate cancer.
Announcing his death on Saturday, filmmaker Stanley Ontop said he died on Friday, leaving behind a legacy of iconic roles in Nollywood classics.

βItβs another sad period as we just received news from Tom Njemanzeβs family that he has succumbed to his ailment and passed on yesterday. May his soul RIP. Itβs well. We tried to save him Buh God knows best. Nollywood lost another legend. Ije Uwaβ, he wrote on Instagram.
Njemanze rose to fame in the 1990s, starring in several films that have stood the test of time, including βTokunboh,β βPounds and Dollars,β βAtosa,β βIssakaba,β βOsuofia in London,β βBrain Box,β and βIgbotic Love,β among others.
Before his passing, filmmaker Stanley Ontop shared a heartfelt video on Instagram, revealing Njemanzeβs diagnosis and appeal for financial assistance for urgent surgery.
