Let it be on record that Hon. Dr. Temitope Oladimeji, fondly known as Dr. OTOPE, has remained a dedicated and compassionate advocate for the people of Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency in Oyo State since 2021.
His political journey has never been about titles, it has always been about service to humanity.
In 2021, through the OTOPE Foundation, he launched a mega vocational training and empowerment programme, which empowered over 400 youths and women across various trades. These beneficiaries were not only trained but also provided with working tools, giving them a real chance at self-reliance and financial stability.
In 2022, Dr. OTOPE made a bold move to represent his people at the Federal level. Though the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket eluded him, he never turned his back on the people. Instead, he continued to show up with humility and heart.
Recognizing his unshakable loyalty, strategic intelligence, and grassroots strength, His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde appointed Dr. OTOPE as the Director-General of Campaign for Oyo Central Senatorial District, a key role in the 2023 general elections. His performance was marked by dedication, coordination, and impactful mobilization.
In recognition of his continued service and trustworthiness, Dr. OTOPE was further appointed as the Oyo State Director-General, Liaison Office for Abuja and Lagos, a position that speaks to his capacity for leadership, diplomacy, and public engagement at the highest levels.
Still, Dr. OTOPE has never allowed political appointments to distance him from the people. Whether through medical outreaches, educational scholarships, youth mentorship, or grassroots economic support, he remains a bridge between government and the people.
When the burden of fuel subsidy removal affected transportation workers and small business owners, Dr. OTOPE stepped in with a free fuel palliative support initiative by distributing petrol to commercial okada and Maruwa riders both in Egbeda and Ona-Ara Local Governments to ease their daily struggle. Even without an elected position, he continued to carry the weight of his people’s needs.
Now, with 2027 on the horizon, Dr. OTOPE is ever ready to serve again, to take his experience, compassion, and vision to the next level. His ambition is rooted in service, not self-interest. His loyalty lies with the people, not politics.
His 2022 struggle was not in vain, it was a foundation. And that foundation is now rising into a movement.
Till date, Dr. OTOPE keeps impacting lives quietly, consistently, and compassionately. His story is not just one of political ambition; it’s the story of a man whose life is built on service, sacrifice, and sincere love for his people.
Through every role, every trial, and every act of love, Dr. OTOPE has proven one thing beyond doubt: he never stopped caring and he never will.
