Adeegbe Rokeeb Adekunle Must Cease Claiming FIBSA Presidency, As FIBSAITES Urged to Dismiss Unconstitutional Election Conducted by Comr. Adeleke Soji

It is utterly disheartening that certain self-proclaimed leaders, ostensibly entrusted with the responsibility of upholding Federation Of Ibarapa Students Association (FIBSA) reputation, have instead precipitated turmoil and compromised the Association’s harmony.

Their ulterior motive, driven by an unyielding desire to secure the FIBSA presidency for their community, has led them to manipulate and coerce uninformed FIBSA members, who lack a comprehensive understanding of the Association procedural protocols and electoral guidelines.

Their blatant disregard for due process and the principles of fair representation is appalling, as they prioritize parochial interests over the well-being of the Association. Their singular focus on usurping the FIBSA presidency, without regard for established procedures, undermines the very foundations of our Association and betrays the trust placed in them as leaders.

It is distressing to recall the FIBSAITES debacle, where the FIBSAEC, illicitly appointed by the self-serving FIBSA Deputy Senate President, Sen. Oyeyemi Qaudri.O. from Tapa Community, orchestrated an unconstitutional sitting.

This egregious transgression, fueled by so-called leaders, flagrantly disregarded Article 10, Section 1 of the FIBSA Constitution.

The Electoral Commission’s establishment, as stipulated by the Constitution, requires the Senate Arm’s establishment and the Executive Council’s approval, comprising 7 distinguished members renowned for their impeccable character, nominated by their respective senators.

The numerous irregularities surrounding the sitting, inauguration, and dissolution of the executives have precipitated profound difficulties, exacerbating tensions within FIBSA. Regrettably, this has led to an unconstitutional election conducted by Comr. Adeleke Soji from Igboora, resulting in the illegitimate presidency of Adeegbe Rokeeb Adekunle.

Pursuant to the directive issued by the Special Assistant to the State Governor on Students’ Affairs, all FIBSA members are advised to disregard any information circulating that Adeegbe Rokeeb Adekunle, popularly known as TRIPLE CROWN, has been elected as the new President of FIBSA.

As the wise saying goes, “A tree is not considered tall until it has weathered many storms.” In this case, Adeegbe Rokeeb Adekunle’s claim to the presidency is premature and lacks legitimacy.

Furthermore, Adeegbe Rokeeb Adekunle has been warned to cease parading himself as the President of FIBSA until the elections scheduled for April 2025, which will be conducted in accordance with the FIBSA constitution. The inauguration of newly elected officials will take place in May 2025.

Please note that any information contrary to this directive is null and void.

To those disseminating false information via social media platforms, be advised that your actions will not be tolerated. It is imperative that we safeguard the integrity and reputation of FIBSA, rather than compromising it for personal or parochial interests.
