NANCES Writes Kwara College, Requests Urgent Fact Finding Visit

The National Association of Nigeria Colleges of Education Students (NANCES) has requested to visit Ajetunmobi College of Education , Ira, Kwara State, on fact finding visit.

According to the letter sighted by our correspondent, NANCES disclosed that there are rumors flying around that the school is offering unaccredited courses and also lack adequate infrastructures.

NANCES furthered that as an umbrella of over 12.5Million Students that cut across over 200 Colleges of Education accredited by National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE), it urgently request for an audience with the college for verification.

Request for Urgent Fact Finding Visit

We bring to you seasonal greetings from the intellectual tower of National Association of Nigeria Colleges of Education Students (NANCES).

NANCES is an umbrella body of over 12.5Million Students cut across over 200 Colleges of Education accredited by National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE).

It has come to our notice that your college is not ripe to be awarding Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) because it lack lot of prerequisite to do so among which is the substandard conditions of the college. Despite being an institution of higher learning, the college lacks basic teaching facilities and qualified lecturers.

Specifically, we bring to your attention the following grievances:

1. Unaccredited courses which is being offered in the college.
2. Inadequate infrastructure: The college lacks proper classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and other essential facilities, hindering effective learning.
3. Unqualified lecturers: Many lecturers lack the requisite qualifications, experience, and training, compromising the quality of education.
4. Lack of health facilities which is jeopardizing the well-being of the students.
5. Insufficient resources: The college fails to provide students with necessary resources, including textbooks, equipment, and technology.

By the virtue of the authority giving to us by the National Commission for Colleges of Education which part of which is to bring forth colleges with low accreditation, We urgently request for an audience with the college as we will immediately be submitting our report to NCCE, the Ministry of Education which can easily lead to the closure of the college till further notice.

We believe that every student deserves a quality education. We hope that the administration will take our concerns seriously as we wish to visit you on Monday 13th January,2024
