Justice Peter Lifu of the Nigerian High Court has dismissed a motion aimed at restraining Nigerians from participating in #EndBadGovernance protests.
The motion, filed by Danladi Goje, Buky Abayomi, Adiza, and 13 other individuals, was dismissed today.
Justice Lifu ruled that the protest, which had been a focal point of public discourse, had concluded the previous week.
The judge also stated that there was insufficient evidence presented by the petitioners to indicate that the protesters planned to reconvene in the future.
The court has adjourned the matter to August 29 for further hearing.
Recall that the organizers of the street processions vowed to resume the protests on October 1, 2024.
